Life Update
So, ignoring a meme or two, I haven't posted in a while. I figure I might as well dust this thing off. No formatting as I forget most of the codes. So, what's new in Gullwhacker's life?
1. I'm engaged.![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
earthstar_chan and I had been dating for seven years the night we went to see Spamalot, and I stopped us on the way home to ask her. She said yes, incidentally. The ceremony will probably be in a year and a half or so.
2. I'm working on a Ph.D. I don't believe I've mentioned that here - I presented my thesis proposal a week ago, and now I get to work out means of commanding space, time, and data. Should be interesting.
3. RPGs! I'm nominally in one, though getting the players together has proven difficult. Triumph, which went unmentioned here because I was too busy playing it, came to an end two months or so ago. A premature end due to lack of a GM team, but it was a good run. Better than the PTC, I'd say. Beyond that, I'm toying with a few game ideas, but I'm terrible at organization of groups. My old fallback of 'find a time that everyone I know can make' doesn't really work any more.
4. Anime-wise, I've broadened my horizons a bit. Angel Beats, To Aru Majutsu no Index, Dennou Coil, Umineko no Naku Koro ni... A fair bit of variety, and that's just the newer series. Suffice to say, I've found a fair number of interesting things.
In general, at the moment, life is good. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments.
