And twenty minutes later, I actually begin typing here.

So! At present, I'm running a 9:30 Monday math tutorial for first year students. Elisha, please comment. I need to know how doomed I am.

The instructor for the course has told me nothing. Not what the course is about, no outline, nada.

In other words, I just told 40-50 students about a test tomorrow - the only information I /have/ been given - and made them go away. Two-hour tutorial session over in twenty minutes, but in my defense I had nothing to tutor them about.

Ah, TAing. More information to follow.

Now to look over where I need to...E2? Why can't they use names for buildings? Aaaaaugh....

I can't believe the instructor didn't give you much info. Hopefully, he/she won't be repeating this for the rest of the year.

If it helps, I think you'll make a great tutor. Good luck today! ^_^

Yes! We must join the Iroh Liberation Legion at once!

Wait. ILL. Okay, we need another name with a less stupid acronym. =P

Thanks. Latest aggravation below, though...

Oh, it got better. See, I sent an email yesterday asking if I needed to go to the tutorial session today. No reply by 9, 9:30 tutorial, I went anyway. Entire class showed up - I told them 'right place, right time, I'll answer any math questions you have but I don't have much to discuss', reminded them of the test tomorrow, sent them on their way.

At 1:30 - four hours after the tutorial was to start - the professor finally replied to my question.

The entirety of the reply?

"No."

....Late and STUPID! [/arrogant worms]

Don't be silly. That sounds like everything is going according to the prof's plan.

You know, there's another student who desperately wants to switch TAing responsibilities - there's a course conflict with what he's got. Thursday afternoons. I'm tempted.

But will your new job be better than the old one?

So, can we assume that the professor is related to scarecrow, since he doesn't seem to have a brain?

No. Scarecrow was helpful.

You'll be okay.

As long as it's round.

Gull,

Actually, that's standard operating procedure with some profs. You'll do fine, just be prepared for said 'instructor' to either:

a)Assume you know everything, or
b)treat you like a complete idiot.

Stay strong. You'll be the only human those poor students can talk to...
