So, some bad news.

As those friends I see in IRC or some other chat might have surmised, my computer is dead. Took it in to the repair shop yesterday, and the verdict is: kaput. Mainboard dead.
This is, as one might surmise, rather annoying.
So, I'm looking at paying the cost of a new computer to fix it, or, well, getting a new computer. Dangit, I should've gotten applecare - I decide not to /one time/, and this happens...
Sigh. Was hoping for a cheerier return to posting, honestly.

Besides, not like I need that many games to play anyway. I'm happy with the 10-year old stuff. (Although I note that any new machine /would/ run Spore. Just saying.)
So beyond the brand loyalty, that's part of the reason I'm inclined to stay Mac. I don't currently use any of the Mac-specific options - but I like having them there. And...yeah. I think I lost track of my conversation thread here.
