Currently reading the Naruto and Bleach chapters to see if either have any hope. Signs not good.

One Piece - looked at the latest few chapters, one of the better shounen series available it seems. I've started reading from the beginning. You don't want to know how many chapters I read in a row.

Eyeshield 21 - still going strong, nearing the endgame. Also, loved the latest chapter for many reasons, but one stands out in particular.

To everyone who was in the ES21 RP way back when - Darth Yukimitsu is officially canon. Ya-ha~

So, yeah. Varies. I find I tend to appreciate novel-based anime more, anyway...

Fullmetal Alchemist is a much better read than it is a watch. Highly recommended.

Now if only new volumes of xxxHolic and Yotsuba& would come out.

I've been catching up on Beck Mongolian Chop Squad after watching the anime series. Great stuff. I kinda like the anime more -- it's about a rock band so it kinda helps when you can *hear* the music -- but the manga has a lot of details the anime either skipped for time reasons (condensing 10 volumes worth of manga in 26 episodes is a lot. Technically more than 10, actually) or because big names used in the manga. (manga: Saito is a big Beatles fan and they perform "I am the Walrus" at the festival. Anime: Saito is a big 'Rocket Boy' fan and they perform some Beatle-esque song at the festival).

Any other good manga out I should be reading beyond the obvious (Tsubasa, Xxholic, etc.) ?

If you like anime based off of novels instead of manga, check out Trinity Blood. The one problem is that it's actually rather incomplete because the author died literally days after finding out his books were going to be adapted.

I'm impressed you took on the challenge of reading One Piece from the beginning. That's a lot of manga.

I won't be online tomorrow, so Happy Birthday Stuart!
