Snowy days...

gullwhackerWell, I think this qualifies as the first major storm of the season for us. 45 or so centimetres of the white stuff, combined with winds of 40-50 kph at some points.
School was cancelled. Had it not been, the district office would have been assaulted. My evening exam was also postponed - inconceivably enough, this was a big enough storm to make UNB shut down.
Well, shut down after noon, that is. But still!
So instead of being done with everything today like I'd thought, I get to while away the hours until 2 PM Friday. Exam will end just in time for me to get going to the one Christmas party I've gone to in the last......uh...decade? I'm not a big party person. <.<
Sight. Recently watched the Violinist of Hamelin movie, read the first two volumes of the manga, and played some of the video game. Hamel is the least heroic main character I have ever seen. He makes the FFRPG Playtest Campain character Oren look like a paladin by comparison. Ack.
It is humorous, though. Many classical music references. Symphony pieces used in combat. Currently listening to the piece one character tried to use to defeat Hamel, 'Emperor'. I think he used his golden grand piano to play the piece and control the entire village into attacking Hamel.
And if you think that's odd, I probably shouldn't mention the attack "Tchaikovsky Kick".
Today, I have to admit I felt...lazy. Didn't feel like doing much, and actually did same. Maybe tomorrow I'll try to clean off the rest of my desk. The little corner to the right side of my computer is sparkling and well organized. The large chunk on the left, on the other hand...
...huh. So that's what happened to my UNB pin.
It's not looking good. Need to get it cleaned off - might be getting a new computer soon, and I'll need the desk space. Then I can work on organizing the rest of my room until some day it might actually be presentable.
....nah. That'll never happen.
Ten days until Christmas. One gift left to find, two others to wrap, and there's a whole stack in my 'done' pile. Can't find my Secret Checklist, though. Grr.
Anyway, enough rambling. Hope the roads aren't too bad tomorrow...
